       ROOTS HITEK  SOUND  

           PROFILE              

Roots Hitek  has been a keen enthusiast of  reggae music and sound system from an early  age having been heavily influenced by the songs of Nesta,Burnin Spear and other vocal singers  and dub instrumentals ,this interest and record collecting led to the running and operating a sound in west London  called Ravers Hifi  and the early 90 saw Hitek  play stints on Skyline Radio and other community radio stations in the west London area  forming a Roots reggae repetoire  which evolved into Roots Hitek Sound.

  Today the sound is undergoing reconstruction  to meet up with modern sound level demands  but the label dub showcases go on unabated with Roots Hitek playing sessions featuring dubplates of unrealesed material from  the UK labels  mixed with foundation style and new roots out of Jamaica and a shower of Dub.

  Last few years have seen Roots Hitek in good demand with  multiple shows in Czech Republic ,Switzerland,Holland,France,Italy ,Germany and  in England a regular at the Roots Garden (Brighton)  and the Rebel lion Sound Sessions in Norwich.

Currently playing sets with Roots Hitek as selecta and jonah Dan as M.C.
